I made some apple face puppets for Dans birthday. They turned out better than expected, Japanese apples are really really big, so when they dried out and shrunk down they were still a good size.. eggsalad. 

any ways, Dan made a sweet short film with them thats going to be in our friend Sean's film festival thing in montreal soon, so if you are in montreal and want to see it let me know. 

fantastic czech animation gives me a snail trail

watch this. its by Bretislav Pojar, an old czech animator who is now one of my biggest influences in all things artistic. i'm making some puppets and every time i look at them i just wonder why i bother, when things this wonderful already exist in the world.

(i know its five minutes but just stay with it, cause the build up is totally worth the climax)

So I got my friend to switch cell phone companies and because she also got her whole family to do it, I ended up getting a whopping 15,000 ¥ worth of gift certificates. aka 150$ cnd, yay for me. What better way to make use of this good fortune than to spread the love and invest in pimping out my phone. I bought my phone used, off Adair when he was leaving Japan and I really hate it. She's really ugly and completely useless. She lets me read c

omics, but they are all in japanese and more importantly  I'm afraid to play her games cause i think it costs me money but i cant tell cause all the people who work for my cell phone company dont speak english at all even though its the largest cell phone company in the country. yes for the gajins. ever since i got here ive been dying to give her a true japanese harajuku makeover but have been waiting for the right moment. tonight it hit me, i went out with some of my friends and we came to the conclusion that I was a candy, rose, cream puff love kinda girl. I got my stuff, some glue, 6 episodes of arrested development and now she is a new woman. Let me just emphasize one thing, this was really really fun.

i want a puppy

so im thinking about getting a dog once im out of debt, probably in the winter around Christmas. if anyone thinks this is a bad idea let me know...

it will probably be a Shiba Inu, which is a Japanese dog that looks like this...
